Traci Goll – Director

Traci has a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Special Education from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She also completed her master’s degree in Rehabilitation Psychology & Special Education at Madison, with certificates in Administration and preK-12 Teaching. Traci has been the Director of Horizon High School for 19 years and has been working in the education field for over 30 years. Traci enjoys traveling, boating, hiking, biking, being outdoors, gardening and reading. Traci loves spending time with her family and friends, especially visiting her adult kids in San Francisco and Denver.

Kristi Sprague

Kristine Sprague joined Horizon High School in September 2024. She has been a creative and inclusive educator and program director based in Madison for 15 years, with a strong focus on social justice, diversity, and community outreach. She has experience in program leadership, partnership development, fundraising, and data management. Her previous roles include teaching and tutoring, where she emphasized individualized learning and community engagement. She was the Social Justice Program Coordinator at First Unitarian Society of Madison from 2022-2024. She is also the Outreach Coordinator for WUUSAN, a statewide organization for Unitarians organizing for equity. Kristine holds a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and Spanish from UW-Madison and has been involved in various educational and community initiatives. She is a 200-hour certified yoga instructor, a musician, and enjoys being in natural spaces.


Madeline Brown CSAC – Clinical Substance Abuse Counselor

Madeline has a Bachelor of Science degree in Alcohol and Drug Studies, minoring in Psychology, from Minnesota State University – Mankato. She has many years of experience guiding those who struggle with substance abuse issues to lead healthier, balanced lifestyles. Madeline has held leadership positions working in both residential and outpatient treatment centers as well as serving on several Drug Treatment Court Teams in Minnesota and Wisconsin. She enjoys exploring the Madison area with her Great Dane, Leo, being active outdoors, and taking road trips to visit friends and family.


Jill Enerson – Teacher

Jill Enerson is a dedicated educator, certified yoga instructor, and small business owner with a strong commitment to supporting students and her community. A graduate of UW Stout with a Bachelor of Science in Technical Education, Jill is currently pursuing her Master's Degree in Education with a focus on Trauma-Informed Teaching. With three daughters who have all attended UW Madison, Jill has a deep connection to education and family. For the past 18 years, Jill has worked at Middleton High school where she was the lead para in Tech Ed classes supporting students with disabilities. She enjoyed it so much she decided to get her teaching degree. Jill has successfully run her small business for the past 18 years, Auntie Jill's, where her custom cheesecakes have been featured in over six restaurants and Metcalfe's grocery stores. Jill has been at the helm of a community church dinner for the past 13 years, demonstrating her passion for service. Now, as she steps into her role at Horizon High School, she is excited to connect with students who often fall through the cracks, helping them build new skills and achieve their full potential. Her ability to build rapport and reach students is one of her greatest strengths, and she is eager to make a positive impact in her new role.


Lisa Millman – Teacher

A lifelong Wisconsin resident, Lisa earned her Bachelor of Science in English Secondary Education from UW Whitewater and Master of Science in Education from UW La Crosse. She is currently working on a Master of Special Education from UW Stevens Point. Lisa taught English at Brodhead High School, her alma mater, for nearly 10 years. In 2020, she transitioned to alternative education and taught at High Marq Environmental Charter School in Montello, where she still serves on the governance board, and Koshkonong Trails School in Cambridge. Lisa is passionate about helping other school districts start or strengthen their alternative education programs and often serves as a consultant for project-based learning and trauma-informed education. She is also a certified personal trainer and registered yoga teacher. In her free time, you can find Lisa going on adventures with her family or trying to identify birds around the state.


Jason Semenas – Special Education Assistant

Jason and his wife Ashley live in Middleton with their three children (Lucy, Landon and Jack) and two dogs (Maggie and Charlie). After years of working in healthcare, the universe guided Jason back to his calling of working at Horizon. Jason is in long term recovery and is grateful to be able to work alongside the students and help plant seeds to a successful life after drugs and alcohol.


Rayshawn Nash – Special Education Assistant

Hi My name is Rayshawn Nash. I am an educator, chef, a husband and a father of three. I grew up on the east side of Madison and have spent the past ten years educating on the west side of Madison. I am excited to bring math and science skills along with my skills in the kitchen to Horizon.
